My Best Money Saving Tips for a Disney World Vacation

Season 1, Ep. 28

My family has been lucky enough to visit Walt Disney World almost annually for the past 10 years. Why so often? Not only is it so much fun (for all ages) but it’s a true vacation for my gluten free family. We don’t worry about buying food for meals, preparing meals, or researching places to eat (other than to decide what suits our preferences). Disney has dietary restrictions down to a science. And that’s the definition of vacation for us.

I shared photos of the great food and fun we had on our recent vacation on Facebook: and Instagram.

How do we afford to go so often? We’ve learned quite a few things over the years that have helped. Here are our favorite money saving tips, I hope they can help you as well!

On the topic of whether beef from conventionally-raised, grain-finished cattle may contain gluten to date, basic principles of ruminant digestion have been cited in support of the prevailing expert opinion that beef is inherently gluten-free.Meat is naturally gluten free. Plain, fresh cuts of meat, including beef, poultry (chicken, turkey, etc), rabbit, lamb and fish/seafood meat, are all gluten free. However, be careful with breaded or floured meats, which typically contain wheat and therefore gluten.Read more here.

  • 1229. Good News on the Gluten Labeling Front

    02:13||Season 1, Ep. 1229
    From Gluten Free Watchdog, LLC:Great news on the allergen labeling front: the ADINA Act (H.R. 3821) was reintroduced into the 19th Congress on Friday, June 6, 2025 by U.S. Representative Kelly Morrison (MN-03). The ADINA Act is co-led by Representatives Mike Lawler (NY-17), Doris Matsui (CA-07), and Ben Cline (VA-06). ⭐️ This bill would amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to require the label of a drug intended for human use to identify each ingredient in such drug that is, or is derived directly or indirectly from, a major food allergen or a gluten-containing grain. ⭐️Because this bill was again reintroduced with bipartisan support in the House, we are hopeful that it gains traction. 🙏🏻 Please consider reaching out to your U.S. Representatives to ask them to co-sponsor H.R. 3821. You can do this by contacting Daniela Puente (Daniela.Puente@mail.house.gov), Senior Health Legislative Assistant to Rep. Morrison and the primary contact for the Adina Act on Capitol Hill.
