Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America's Shining Women with Kate Moore

In the 1920's the U.S. Radium Corp hired young women to work on radium wristwatches which glowed. The women ended up glowing themselves and, unbeknownst to them the radium was eating their bones from the inside. Host Dan Loney talks with author Kate Moore about her new book, "The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America's Shining Women" about the tragic death of these workers and the resulting lawsuit that changed American workplace regulations on Knowledge@Wharton.
