Pew Report: American Families Face a Growing Rent Burden

Renters made up the almost 43 billion US households in 2016. As demand for rentals is on the rise, price increases have outpaced median household income growth. According to a new report from the Pew Charitable Trusts, a third of renters are now spending over 30 percent of there income on rent. Host Dan Loney talks with Erin Currier, Director of Pew's Family Financial Security and Mobility Project and it's Student Borrower Success Project, to discuss these findings and more on Knowledge@Wharton.
