President Trump Considers Rejoining the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)
•
President Trump is expressing interest in rejoining the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a deal he walked away from last year. The president's trade and tariff battle with China has raised fears and criticism from corporations, farmers and others. However, the rest of the members of the TPP have moved on and it may be too late for the US to rejoin. Host Dan Loney talks with Ian Sheldon, Professor of Agricultural Economics and International Trade at Ohio State University, and Joshua Meltzer, Senior Fellow in the Global Economy and Development program at the Brookings Institution, discuss the current landscape on Knowledge@Wharton.
